01What was announced
In November 2025 Anthropic, Microsoft and Nvidia announced an arrangement covering Anthropic compute purchases on Microsoft Azure, Nvidia technology collaboration, and reported investment commitments from Microsoft and Nvidia.
Reported investment figures at announcement were up to $5 billion from Microsoft and up to $10 billion from Nvidia. Treat these as announced intentions; the definitive terms of such arrangements are not generally published.
02Strategic effect
With AWS, Google Cloud and Azure all in the mix, Claude became available through every major hyperscaler marketplace — an unusual position for a frontier lab and a meaningful enterprise distribution advantage.
It also means several of Anthropic's largest investors are simultaneously suppliers, customers and, through their own model efforts, competitors.
