01Strategic investors

Amazon is the largest disclosed strategic investor, with $8 billion announced across 2023 and 2024, paired with AWS and Trainium arrangements. Google has invested and supplies cloud and TPU capacity. Microsoft and Nvidia announced investment intentions alongside the Azure arrangement reported in November 2025.

Each of these parties is simultaneously a supplier and, in Google's and Microsoft's case, a competitor in model development. Amazon has stated it does not hold a controlling stake.

02Financial investors

Lightspeed Venture Partners led the March 2025 Series E; ICONIQ led the September 2025 Series F, with participation from a wide group of institutional investors including sovereign wealth and pension capital.

The presence of large, long-horizon institutional funds is one of the conditions typically observed before a company considers public markets — though it is a weak signal on its own.
